Christmas Social
This year we are offering you all something quite different. Instead of having a demonstration of a Christmas decoration, table centre or wreath, we are organizing it so that you can all make you own small table decoration. Our committee member Jean Orpwood is been putting things together for us and will be on hand with some samples and tips and to give anyone help, advice or instructions.
We hope we can sit everyone at tables, with wine, soft drinks and nibbles and greenery for the arrangements. We have lots of small containers ready filled with oasis for you to use, a selection of greenery from our gardens and a few candles.
It anyone wants to bring some extra decoration to add to their arrangement please feel free, or a candle as we don’t have many.
Could you please bring a pair of scissor and/or secateurs so you can cut the greenery to fit your creation. We will have a few but not enough for everyone.
Guests will be charged £5.00.
Last Month:
We had a wonderful audience, I think the biggest I remember and our speaker Victoria Logue gave us a talk titled ‘Extending the Season in your Garden without Replacing all your Plants’. She was full of original ideas, some one would never think of, like white ornaments to light up a dark corner, colourful evergreens and more general and practical information. I think there was at least one idea we could all take home with us however big or small our garden.
Plant Table: There will be no plant table this month.
