WATLINGTON GARDENING CLUB NEWSLETTER DECEMBER 2025
Next Meeting Wednesday December 4th at 7.45pm in the Sport Pavilion
Talk by Paolo Arrigio
This meeting will be our Christmas social - we will be serving wine as well as tea and coffee, also mince pies and Christmas nibbles, so do come if you can.
Paolo Arrigio’s company Seeds of Italy imports the Franchi seeds from Italy. His talk, From Seed to Table, and will tell us about the seed industry, give tips on growing vegetables and take us on a trip round Italy to explore the vegetables and culinary traditions of the various regions in the country with descriptions of the cooked food. He will also be selling his seeds.
Last Month:
Kerrie Lloyd-Dawson talked about Bulbs in the Border. She had recommendations for how to add an extra layer of planting with bulbs and corms that remain in the border year after year. The bulbs she brought to sell were popular with members.
PLANT TABLE: There will be a no Plant Table this month.
NEXT MEETINGS:
There will be no meeting in January.
Our February meeting will be on Wednesday 4th February - the speaker will be Kathy Slack and here talk Vegetables – Grow Yourself Happy.
