Lucy Bradley will give us a talk titled Climate Change and our Gardens. This seems and eminently topical subject give the weather we have been having this year. Warm winter, wet, wet spring and cool weather just now. In my garden I had roses out in April and some dahlias are still waiting to sprout at the end of May.
Last Meeting: Kate Woods gave us a talk about the characteristics for different types of Japanese Gardens. She had visited Jpan and illustrated her talk with her own photographs and commented onher visit to the garden and her thoughts. Sheended by talling us about the Japanese love of cherry blossom.
VISITS: It’s still not to late to sing up for our garden visit for Tuesday 4th June at 3pm to Lime Close as long as you don’t leave it too long. The application form is at the end and should be forward to Liz Gordon.
PLANT TABLE: We will have a plant table this month so if you have any extra plans to sell do bring them along.
WATERPERRY GARDEN RARE PLANT FAIR Rare Plant Fair – 2024 - Sun, 9th June, 10am - 4pm. “A chance to browse stalls manned by experts specialising in both rare and traditional plants, all in the beautiful setting of Waterperry Gardens. You may buy your tickets on arrival at the gate with no need to pre-book, Adult tickets £11.50, including the Gardens and Fair; Children 16 years and under are free”. Next Meeting: Our next meeting on July 3rd will be our summer social. Jo Dudley will kindly let us come to her garden. I will circulate more details on the July Newsletter.
